HANA Titanium 1.5" Review from Misikko.com

Watch my video here!

This is a Hana Titanium 1.5 inch review in which I also demo the product.

FTC: I was contacted by Misikko.com to do this product review in which they sent me the straightener. I am not being compensated and the review hosts my true opinion.

The review:

As you can see, everything was packaged beautifully and securely so there were no damages to the product. Shipping was very fast and efficient. The HANA Titanium 1.5" flat iron heated up very quickly and with-held its hot temperatures allowing me to continuously use the product. Other straighteners I've encountered lose this ability after time and I would have to let the iron sit there to reheat so that it would effectively straighten my hair. With the HANA flat iron, there are four temperature control settings ranging from 230 degrees F all the way to 450 degrees F. The iron caters to very thin, fine, fragile hair, to very thick, healthy hair.

I like how the iron came with a rubber heating mat that protects the surface of my counter. There are many slips and bags that come with the iron for easy traveling as well.

Using this flat iron was easy to use and did not pinch my hair at all. I personally like 1 inch flat irons better, but this one still straightened my hair effectively. My hair even looked shiny and healthy after applying such heat. The handle is sturdy and feels good in the hands. I even used the iron to curl under the edges of my hair as seen in the video.

The site is easy to navigate and the flat iron that I was sent runs about $130 USD. I think it's a great deal considering all the extras they send with the product. Misikko.com has other items on their site as well as a titanium hair dryer.

I would highly recommend this product and their site. If you have any questions please feel free to ask! Thanks for reading!

Shoppingholics.com Japan Barbie Eye Super Nudy 16.0mm-Blue Review

Get these lenses at http://shoppingholics.com/goods.php?i...

I am reviewing Japan Barbie Eye Super Nudy 16.0mm-Blue.

These lenses retail for $26.90 and came with a free case.

FTC: I was sent these lenses for review purposes only. I was not paid nor influenced to say only good things about these lenses. This video encases my opinion on the product in full honesty.

*You can click all images to enlarge them.

I like that these lenses don't scream "I have blue eyes and they look fake!" :)
At first, first these lenses were a bit irritating at first, but that's usually the case when you first put in circle lenses from my observation.  After a minute or  so, they are really comfty and look very cute!  I don't need rewetting drops when I wear these lenses, and like always I never wear my circle lenses for more than eight hours.  Promise.

This website has kindly contacted me to offer me a free pair of lenses for consideration of review purposes.  I am in no way affiliated with the company and I express my honest opinion.

The pair of lenses comes with a free case like many other circle lenses websites.  I like that their site has a lot of pictures with models wearing the lenses so that you get a better idea of how they look on.  I hope this review helps those who are looking for a cute pair of blue lenses :)  If you have any questions, please ask!

Thank you shoppingholics.com for the pair of lenses! :)

www.cutie123.com shoe haul!

I found this really cute shoe site, www.cutie123.com, that sells affordable and fashionable shoes!  They have heels, sandals, pumps, and a ton of boots!  I got two pairs that arrived really fast.  They have amazing customer service!!  Any questions that I had, they answered quickly.  The shipping is affordable, too!  Right now, if you order $50+ you can receive free shipping.

I contacted the company and let them know I was doing a review of their shoes and they thanked me by giving my viewers a coupon code!!  The code blog15 gets you 15% off of your entire order!  That's such a great deal!!

The first pair that I got was the over the knee boot in Madrid.  Cute, yes?  These were $29.

The second pair I got was called Lamis, and it is a red satin shoe.  These were $24.

All shoes are true to size and the shoes are of manmade material.  I like how the shoes come with shoe boxes!!

I wish that their website had pictures of girls modeling the shoes so we had a better idea of what the shoes looked like on, but they are an up and coming site so I'm sure they will work something out soon.  Go check them out at www.cutie123.com.

Japanese Glamorous Lash Review

It has been way too long since I blogged!! I've just been really busy catching up with friends before they go back to college, thus the lack of posting. I wanted to do a review on the Japanese lashes that a bought a while ago. You can click here to see the post of what they look like up close. The lashes look AMAZING on, but comfort-wise, the band is very stiff. They are really easy to apply and remove the glue off of for a second-time use. Here are a couple of pictures with the lashes on.

They look very dramatic! All in all...

The pros: Easy to apply, comes with a cute case, easy to clean off glue after first time wear, looks amazing for a night out.
The cons: Thick band so not so comfortable, lasts about three wears, easily bent if not stored properly.

Here's one last picture with Andy :]

smooooooth away review!

I bought this product last month and I am finally doing a review on it!!

I bought this product initially to get rid of my hairy arms...someone did a a demo on me at the mall and it didn't hurt, my arm was really smooth and soft, but the lady was trying to rip me off...$20!!  I knew I could get it at CVS for $9.99!!  I went with a girlfriend and we got the vibrating one because well...it looked so much more fun to play with ;p  har har...ANYWAYS..

DO NOT BUY THE VIBRATING ONE!!  Just buy the normal one...plus the vibrating one cost $5 more...the vibrating one...because it is on a plastic piece...the glue melts and gets all over your hand and it just nasty.  Do yourself a favor and get the regular one for $9.99.

The fine crystals on the pads smooth away the hairs.  The kit comes with a large applicator, one small applicator, 5 large replacement pads, and 5 small replacement pads.

I've tried waxing...it hurts too much.
I've tried shaving...it grows back really prickly.
I've tried Veet...it grows back fast AND prickly.
Smooth Away grows back slower and not as prickly and pokey.

The only downfall...when using my left hand [I'm right handed], my left hand gets tired and I miss parts...so I just tell my sister to smooth away my arms...she doesn't mind much :p

I've only used it on my arms, and I think it works great.
The pack comes with a smaller piece you can use for your face [lips], and bikini area...I've tried a small part of my bikini line and I don't break out or anything.

It's available at drugstores, the mall, online...I think it's cheapest at the drugstores though.

I love the price and the outcome.  I definitely recommend this product for its price.  Go get your Smooth Away kits!!

been missing + carrots

I've been missing since I am getting slaughtered by mid-terms. Oh the joy of being a college student that hates school right now. I should be posting more soon though after this week since my mid-terms are this week pretty much.

Anywho...a while back I purchased some YES TO CARROTS products since they were BOGO 50% off at Walgreens. I've been using them ever since just to give you MY verdict. I know it's worked great for others but for me....well, just read on :]

*photos from yestocarrots dot com

C is Smooth
Body Moisturizing Lotion

This product unfortunately is not my favorite from the four that I bought. It actually made me more itchy...It did take away dryness, but not for a long amount of time like my H20+ Moisturizing lotion. The scent reminded me of baby powder, which was good since I thought it was going to smell weird because of the carrots. I had to constantly reapply the lotion, but I DO have pretty dry skin...*sighs. Other than that, this lotion only gets a
2.5/5 for me. I would not purchase this again.

Carrot Rich Shower Gel

Again, this is not one of my favorite products. I used this a week after I started using the lotion and it calmed down the itchyness I got from the lotion. This did not break me out and it had a sweeter smell than baby powder. It did not leave me skin feeling smooth like my Olay Body Wash that I normally use. Because this product did not make me itchy, it gets:
3/5. I would not buy this again.

C Loves Your Hair
Pampering Carrot Juice Shampoo

This product was actually gentle on my hair. It left it pretty smooth after about a week of usage. It has a nice smell to it and it hydrated my hair. It has a fun orange color to the shampoo, and I would actually purchase this again, but probably with at least a BOGO 50% off so I could get the conditioner with it. This product has a pretty small bottle compared to most shampoos...they should make a bigger bottle...this product gets a:
4/5 I would repurchase this again.

C is for Conditioner
Pampering Hair Mud Conditioner

I love this product!! It has got to be my favorite from the four I bought. This actually does deep condition and it works great with the shampoo!! It has a similar sweet scent like the shampoo and it has a pale orange color for the product. It feels really soft on my hair and I noticed it has made my scalp less itchy. I also tried this with my Garnier Fructis shampoo and that's how I know it will still work without the shampoo. This product is a bit pricey for the price so it gets:
4.5/5 I would repurchase this again!!

More updates will come as soon as school calms down!! Andy needs to send me the other pictures he took when I did a couple of fotds...Thanks for reading!!

stila illuminating tinted moisturizer

So I got one of the little samples of the Stila Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 from Sephora. I was always interested in trying this product, and the SPF 15 just made it better.

The way I used this product was I would first wear a base, either my Smashbox Photofinish Primer or my Sana primer. Then I would stipple this on with my CS brush that still sheds till this day T__T I would finish it off by dabbing some concealer if necessary on the problem spots and dust on some Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil.

The verdict: I LOVE LOVE LOVE how the product looked on my face...I had the airbrushed finish and I didn't even have to use a lot of product. Great coverage as a tinted moisturizer...

HOWEVER!!! VERY VERY SADLY I BROKE OUT FROM IT AHH!! I was so sad...I tried it for a couple of days and my left cheek got a pimple and some bumps...so I stopped using it...and a couple of weeks later I tried again [with a clean brush of course], and the same thing happened!! I was very disappointed, because I was actually hoping that this product and I could be lovers...guess not...it was just a one-sided love affair boo hoo :[

Have you ladies tried it?? If so, let me know your thoughts on it :]

pop beauty day 2

Again I used Sara's Green Cabinet from Pop Beauty. I was much disappointed with the shadow outcome, so after using the Eye Magnet Primer, I used Revlon's Cream Shadow [a pink color] and then applied the shadows from the cabinet.

The shadows came out a little bit more vibrant. The cute pink color did not look as nice on my lids as it did on my arm swatch boo-hoo. I used one of the sparkly browns on the outter-v and the black in the crease and the same cream highlight. Again...I could totally live without these shadows. I only like a few from the box...

The gloss is amazing and the blush as well. I would actually dish out money for those products next time.
Again...I did my makeup around 2p.m, went to work till 8p.m., and took the picture around 10p.m. Even with a cream base over the primer, the shadows did not budge!! YAY!! So no creasing for this product.

A full size for this product is $18.00. I don't know about forking out that much when I don't even have a full size of UDPP..

This little baby has 0.08 oz while UDPP has 0.34 oz. You tell me what's the better buy. Plus...this thing STINKS! For the same quality, get UDPP; you get the better price and more product.

Any questions?? Throw them to me and I will answer them as best I can :]

pop beauty day 1

From my recent haul of Pop Beauty, I was able to try out the cabinet for the past couple of days. I also used the Eye Magnet Primer with the shadows. This whole look is just with Sara's Green Cabinet.

I was going to use the beautiful sparkly green shadow, but as I attempted to grab more product, the green sparkly shadow began to disappear, and I was left with a whole lot of this:

Where did the sparkly shadow go?!?! Now it's like...an ugly brown that has no color on my lids whatsoever. Ew.

My look ended up looking like a matte brown on the lid with purple in the outter-v and black sparkly shadow on the crease. I used the sparkly cream as a highlight.

I really like the consistency of the gloss from the cabinet. I had to use my own lip brush, but as I dipped it in...it is somewhat goopy. I have other glosses where I have to swirl for a while to get a lot of product, but that doesn't seem to be the case for Pop Beauty.

I really like the gloss and the blush from the cabinet though!! The blush is so pigmented, but the only bad thing is that when dipping the brush, the product does get everywhere...boo...

The Eye Magnet Primer does a great job of not budging!! After a long day at work here's what it looks like:

No creases yay!
However...it dulls out the colors quite a bit...so in my next look I will use a cream base to bring out the shadows. Let's see if anything budges at the end of the day.

So far I'm liking the gloss and the blush. The eye shadows...I would have to pass on those for now.

CS brushes review [after washing]

My say on Lavender Whip will be coming shortly. Yes, I did haul it...it's so pretty I don't even want to use it yet :[

On to my review!!
This is based on after I washed them. Haven't used them YET, but that review will be coming a bit later. I just got my Coastal Scents order the other day and washed them tonight. I needed a few more brushes and I thought that maybe I should give these brushes a try. I'm not ready to dish out the big bucks for MAC brushes...not yet at least. I really wanted to try a stippling brush and so that was first on my list.

The Silver Duo Fiber Stippling Brush $7.95--
It came in a pink handle too I believe, but I went with the boring black handle :p
+It didn't have a weird smell so that's good.
- It did however SHED A LOT as I washed it. It had maybe 20-30 hairs fall out. I thought I was going to end up with no hair by the end of its washing!!
+ It is very soft.

Flat Mineral Bronzer Buffer Large $4.25--

+ Sleek black handle.

+ Heavy duty and very soft.

+ Did not shed!! Okay maybe three hairs, but nothing compared to the stippling brush. Yay!

- FUNKY FUNKY FUNKY SMELL! My goodness...this brush had a weird smell to it as I was washing it. I kept smelling it to see if it would go away but it just overpowered the bristles. Yuck!!
- I tried to wash it a SECOND time and it STILL REEKS!

Italian Badger Angle Brush $6.99--
+ Sleek brown wood handle.

+ Did NOT SHED...at all!

+ Very soft.

- The size however was a bit small for me, especially for the price. I think my essence of beauty angle blush brush is about the same size and cheaper.

Italian Badger Blender $2.95--
+Great price!

+ Did NOT SHED...at all!

+ Very soft; softer than my sonia kashuk blending brush.

+ The size is perfect for blending in the crease.

So far for the prices and quality while washing these brushes, I like the Italian Badger Blender the best. As for quality, we have yet to see!! I'll probably try these out for a week or two and then write a review on their performance. So stay tuned!!

P.S. I got my 4 inch heels from ALDO! They were on sale for about $50? I walk in them all night and survive because of those squishy inserts. They HELP a LOT!! With those squishy things my feet would be DYING! I love them oh so much :]

been busy/ review!

i have been super dee-duper busy--having two jobs and all since i am trying to get in all the hours i can before school starts up again. i have a bunch of stuff to post about including some collective hauls and my package from aya aka irodori [who is a total sweetheart!!]. life has been busy and hectic but good :] i only have a month left before school gets back in session and that is when i will quit a job and focus on my b&n job...yup i am a total nerd when it comes to books!

anyways! on to the review!! so...last week or so i went to k-mart since they were having a BOGO free sale and i was perusing the hair aisle when i saw...

TRESemme Thermal Creations Heat Tamer Spray!!

yup!! i have to try it!! plus it was buy 2 for $6. you can't go wrong there when they normally cost a little more than $4 i think. i have super dry hair because i abuse it horribly by curling and straightening it and whatnot. so...i've been using this like...every day!! and i totally love the results. before, when i would wash my hair, i could feel that my hair was dry and brittle [that's how bad it is!!] and after i have been using this product for more than a week or so, i can feel the difference in my hair!! when i wash it now, it's more smooth than before and doesn't feel like it my hair will break away. i can't wait to see the results in the long run!! all i do is spritz some on before i heat my hair and abuse it and yayuh! my hair feels a bit more protected than before. i recommend this to anyone who likes to abuse their hair with heating products like i do. and it's even more worth it when they have those great deals like buy 2 for $6!

spray me!

alrighty, so i've been using this baby for the past couple of weeks and i love it! it's so easy and convenient, just spray and go! i have to say that i am pretty tanned, and i want to achieve a fair complexion and with this 70 spf, it will help me get there. along with wearing long sleeves in the sun, which i try to stay out of as long as i can, i have to say that it seems like i am not getting darker yay! this product doesn't have a funky smell to it either that normal sunblock gives off. it feels nice and it's easy to use. i am definitely going to keep my hands on this!
