So I got one of the little samples of the Stila Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 from Sephora. I was always interested in trying this product, and the SPF 15 just made it better.
The way I used this product was I would first wear a base, either my Smashbox Photofinish Primer or my Sana primer. Then I would stipple this on with my CS brush that still sheds till this day T__T I would finish it off by dabbing some concealer if necessary on the problem spots and dust on some Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil.
The verdict: I LOVE LOVE LOVE how the product looked on my face...I had the airbrushed finish and I didn't even have to use a lot of product. Great coverage as a tinted moisturizer...
HOWEVER!!! VERY VERY SADLY I BROKE OUT FROM IT AHH!! I was so sad...I tried it for a couple of days and my left cheek got a pimple and some bumps...so I stopped using it...and a couple of weeks later I tried again [with a clean brush of course], and the same thing happened!! I was very disappointed, because I was actually hoping that this product and I could be lovers...guess not...it was just a one-sided love affair boo hoo :[

Awww I'm sorry it didn't work well with your skin! At least it was a sample, and not a big expeensive bottle!!
Don't you just hate when you find a product that looks great, but doesn't agree with your skin... UGh... HATE THAT!
Aww...I have tried it about a year ago. I'd read how it's like the company creator's favorite Stila product so I was really interested, and also since I saw a lot of magazines recommend tinted moisturizer in the summer so I'd use it as a foundation basically.
It didn't work out for me. Like you, I really wanted to like it or love it. But the color was always a little bit off, a bit grayish (I used shade 2). And also even though I used it after my regular moisturizer, the Stila was drying on my skin. Double fail! So I ended up giving it away (way after I'd bought it).

ooh i saw this awhile back in beautycrunch for so cheap but didn't order it.why? haha coz i'm oily and i'm steering clear of anything shimmery lately..the weather here makes it hard to wear shimmers on the face..it makes me look uber oily -_- i have this skinfood liquid highlighter that i loved but can't use here..
story of my LIFE! i totally wanted to try the Mac mineralize collection but the lady stoped me and told me that alot of people have reported the breaking out with this product so its not good for people with trouble skin aweeeeee i was soooo sad.
thanks for the review, it really helped. I'm nearly out of the laura mercier one and im on the look out for a new TM but looks like Stila is going to be out of the picture!

ooh i havent tried this yet but i got a small sample from Fuz in our swap.
its like me with EDM, they break me out but it makes me look so much better T-T
sorry it didn't work out for you! good thing it was a sample so you didn't have to spend on a whole tube..but not like you couldn't have returned it anyway XD

I love tinted moisturizer! Ive never tried this. I do have sensitive skin and thanks for doing a review on this. I'm sorry it broke you out. X(
The only TM I love for now is the Benefit You Rebel Lite. I am thinking of trying the Shisheido one though :)
