love ammo

*YAY!! ANDY FIXED MY BG!!*

I absolutely adore my Urban Decay Ammo Palette and I'm sure I tell you ladies over and over again :] I recommend this one the most since it has bright colors and somewhat neutral colors, and it has glitter and non-glittery colors. I have the Deluxe and the Bamboo Palettes...but this one is LOVE.

Here's my face:

I used:
-Grifter on the whole lid a little past the crease, also on the lower lashline
- Smog in the crease
- Oil Slick in the outter-v
- MAC Sunday Best as the Highlight and used to drag Smog up to blend out
- MAC Blacktrack fluidline
- Diorshow Iconic Mascara
- Lavender Whip on my lips with clear gloss on top
- I think I used Milani Luminous blush...can't remember :p
- No foundation...just a Rimmel Finishing Powder...my skin was actually nice that day :p

I've been using Lavender Whip for the best couple of days since the weather WAS nice...-.-'' [It's now rainy and gloomy in So. Cal. when it was 80 degrees a couple of days ago].

And this was for fun...it was originally in color but Andy was playing with photoshop :p

I have a small haul waiting to be posted...and I am slowly thinking of contest ideas....slowly...very slowly...but EVENTUALLY!! :] SO LOOK OUT!! ;D

PBEMP vs UDPP

Today I compared my Pop Beauty Eye Magnet Primer to my Urban Decay Primer Potion.

[B for Pop Beauty and D for Urban Decay Primer Potion]
I applied each product on a different eye at 3P.M., used NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Horse Radish, piled on the shadows and took a look at the eyes around 10P.M. The pictures weren't coming out as clear as in person, but BOTH products DID crease...

Pop Beauty actually only creased a little about half way in the crease of the eye...

UDPP's crease was apparent in the whole crease of my eye...ahh!! :[

The shadows on top of UDPP however were more vibrant and sparkly...PBEMP not so much...

Andy came over about an hour after I applied my makeup and he was like..."Howcome one eye stands out more than the other??"

HAHA!! Even HE noticed!! *hearts

Here's the look:

I used these shadows:

Urban Decay Palette that I loveee and the Stila trio [just the one color for a highlight].
Shattered was on the inner lower lid and Sin was on the outside of the lower lid.
Mildew was in the crease and Oil Slick was on the outter lower crease for depth.

Pop Beauty side

Urban Decay Side

For the lips and cheeks I used my Sara's Green Cabinet. I even used the bronzer as a contour...I think I might like it just a LITTLE more than my MAC Sculpt and Shape *gasps!!

Enjoy!

pop beauty day 2

Again I used Sara's Green Cabinet from Pop Beauty. I was much disappointed with the shadow outcome, so after using the Eye Magnet Primer, I used Revlon's Cream Shadow [a pink color] and then applied the shadows from the cabinet.

The shadows came out a little bit more vibrant. The cute pink color did not look as nice on my lids as it did on my arm swatch boo-hoo. I used one of the sparkly browns on the outter-v and the black in the crease and the same cream highlight. Again...I could totally live without these shadows. I only like a few from the box...

The gloss is amazing and the blush as well. I would actually dish out money for those products next time.
Again...I did my makeup around 2p.m, went to work till 8p.m., and took the picture around 10p.m. Even with a cream base over the primer, the shadows did not budge!! YAY!! So no creasing for this product.

A full size for this product is $18.00. I don't know about forking out that much when I don't even have a full size of UDPP..

This little baby has 0.08 oz while UDPP has 0.34 oz. You tell me what's the better buy. Plus...this thing STINKS! For the same quality, get UDPP; you get the better price and more product.

Any questions?? Throw them to me and I will answer them as best I can :]

pop beauty day 1

From my recent haul of Pop Beauty, I was able to try out the cabinet for the past couple of days. I also used the Eye Magnet Primer with the shadows. This whole look is just with Sara's Green Cabinet.

I was going to use the beautiful sparkly green shadow, but as I attempted to grab more product, the green sparkly shadow began to disappear, and I was left with a whole lot of this:

Where did the sparkly shadow go?!?! Now it's like...an ugly brown that has no color on my lids whatsoever. Ew.

My look ended up looking like a matte brown on the lid with purple in the outter-v and black sparkly shadow on the crease. I used the sparkly cream as a highlight.

I really like the consistency of the gloss from the cabinet. I had to use my own lip brush, but as I dipped it in...it is somewhat goopy. I have other glosses where I have to swirl for a while to get a lot of product, but that doesn't seem to be the case for Pop Beauty.

I really like the gloss and the blush from the cabinet though!! The blush is so pigmented, but the only bad thing is that when dipping the brush, the product does get everywhere...boo...

The Eye Magnet Primer does a great job of not budging!! After a long day at work here's what it looks like:

No creases yay!
However...it dulls out the colors quite a bit...so in my next look I will use a cream base to bring out the shadows. Let's see if anything budges at the end of the day.

So far I'm liking the gloss and the blush. The eye shadows...I would have to pass on those for now.

just three!

I have this Stila trio in Warm that I received in a swap from Makeupalley.com and I never get to play with it. The shadows are highly pigmented and are perfect for the Spring season. The trio comes with a peach color, a very light pink color, and a shimmery brown. I know why everyone loves Stila shadows...they are so easy to blend and work with. I kick myself in the behind for missing that huge sale on Beautycrunch.com they had a few weeks ago :[

Anyway...here's my face...

Just something simple. I used the peach color on the lower half of the lid and the lower lashline, the brown in the crease and outter-v, and the pink as the highlight. I primed with Urban Decay PP, and used a peach colored revlon cream shadow color as a base.

I'm slowly starting to like the Diorshow Iconic Mascara...but it still looks a lot better on other people :[

On my lips I dabbed the MAC HK Most Popular and topped with Philosophy's Melon Daquiri gloss. I found that if I dab Most Popular on, I can work with the color...if I apply it normally, the color is just...weird on me lol :p

looks i wore for sd

Here is one of the looks I wore for San Diego. I only brought my Dior Holiday Palette 2008 since I wanted to pack light. I had on the gray and dark green shadows on my eyes along with the cream color as the high-light.

Here's a good picture with me wearing my LAVENDER WHIP!! It is pure love...

I think for this picture that Andy took of me I put HK Sweet Strawberry on top of Lavender Whip.

I also wore my Makeup Forever Aqua OL liner...this stuff was really creamy on my eyes...but it stayed!! I'll have to compare it to my NYX waterproof liner for you gals. :]

I love the dark green mixed with the sparkly gray...

And this picture is just for kicks. I think it came out pretty cool with me blurred in the background. I wish my skin looked this light every day :[

We have matching promise rings :]

chinese new year fotd

here's the look i wore for chinese new year :]
that's me and wo-wo! she got so big :[

anyways...i wore the usual on my face: maybelline mineral power powder with maybelline mineral powder blush in soft mauve on my cheeks, highlighted with MAC lightflush [i love this stuff!].

this time i darkened my eyebrows with Anastasia Brow Powder instead of using my nyc brow pencil...i should really do an eyebrow filler in verdict... :p

on my lips i have Missha Glossy Lipstick in [PK403]. This was only $1!! I layered C.O. Bigelow Mentha Lip Tint [this was also the one i used on the last fotd].

and for the eyes!!
-I started with NYX Jumbo Pencil in Strawberry Milk, then topped that with Smashbox Celebrita Quad [the pink color in the Tokidoki release]--all of this went on my lid up till the crease of the eye socket.
-Then I put Urban Decay's Graffiti [the same bright green from last time] and put that into the crease and outter v, enhanced the outter v with UD Zero.
-Then I highlighted with the white color from the Celebrita quad.
-I used my MAC Blacktrack fluidline on upper and lower lashline and used Rimmel's Jungle Green eye pencil on my water line.
-Used my CG lashblast [which i am finally almost done with!! yay!]. Hrm...that's about it I think!!

That's it! Thanks for all the comments and love :]

fotd

I finally did a fotd!! yes...it includes purple but that's not the main color for once puahaha!!

Oh yeah! Happy Chinese New Year everyone! :D

So here's the look:
I don't remember what I used on my face...but I'm pretty sure it was my Maybelline Mineral Power foundation along with Milani blush in Luminous, and contoured with MAC sculpt and shape.

Eyes: I mainly used my Urban Decay Deluxe Palette, which I love because it doesn't come along with chunky glitters. Graffiti [the bright green] on the lower lid, Ransom [stunning violet purple] on the outter V, and Zero [a somewhat glittery black...small small smalllllll glitters yay!], and highlighted with MAC Sunday Best [a very sheer pink].
CG Lashblast, MAC blacktrack fluidline on top lid and on waterline.

On my lips: C.O. Bigelow menthol gloss :]

and that's it!! I love your comments!! Thanks for the loveee :]

here's to a new year!

i hope everyone had a wonder holiday season, i know i did :] i just came back from snowboarding AGAIN yesterday, we went for the day at mountain high. i must say that i like big bear's snow a lot better. i even tried to go on the ramps and those boxes; i ate snow like no other :[

ohh! and i got more piercings on my left ear. andy got piecrings too!! he looks like a jrock dude since he just got his hair cut too. pictures will be up soon. i want a tattoo really badly but i can't stand needles [i pass out], and i wouldn't even know what to get in the first place. i want my tat to have REAL meaning, something that holds dear to my heart.

anywho!! i remember i wanted to put this look up awhile ago, but i guess i just forgot all about it :p i wore it to a dinner where i met my boyfriend's older brother's fiancee and her family. i don't usually wear my hair up; it makes me look older than my boyfriend [at least i think it does]. i don't really remember what i wore except i know i remember using my urban decay ammo palette and i had victoria's secret blue/green glitter eyeliner on my lower lashline. rarr...sorry :p

in natural lighting

with flash

this year i will definitely try to post more, whether it be looks or...whatever :p i was on a roll for the past couple of months until i started working a lot more due to the holiday season, but then school is starting next week boooo. so who know what will happen :[

can't wait for what 2009 will bring me :] i turn 21 next month and will also be celebrating my one year with andy. yes...we've only been together for a year!~ we seem like we're married though, huh? i don't care. i love it :] cheers to you all!

late thanksgiving

[i like how nice and white my face looks here!~]

so this is the look i wore for thanksgiving...heh...yes i know i am late, but i am so lazy/trying to studying for finals blahh. andy and i went to eat lunch with some friends...you so. cal. girls should be familiar with guppies...if not...do so! their brick toast is to die for!

my lips are nice and glossy red thanks to missha moisture lipstick in RD301. it's this fairly new/cheap korean brand [found in rowland heights, their diamond plaza]...they're nose peels are GREATTT! they actually get in the corners and grab all those little white things out :] but what i love about this lippie is that it actually conditions your lips and the color stay is pretty good for $1...yes...$1...that's because i got it when they had their grand opening sale for the month...not sure how much it is now though.

the cheeks have milani's luminous blush [i've been using this a lot!!] and mac's msf in light flush. love love love light flush...i'm addicted thanks to
pink!

and the eyes...oh the eyes...nyx yellow pearl from their gold trio [inner corner], and simply l'oreal HIP metallic duo in gunmetal. i used the green on the right for the outter corner and the green on the left for the crease. and of course mac sunday best as my highlight. blend blend and voila! and of course mac blacktrack fluidline and cg lashblast. it's amazing how nice lashes can look if you actually take the time to curl and coat them...i like fake lashes but i'm just lazy to wear them all the time >.<>

i wish all of my pictures look like this...since my boyfriend is the photographer, his camera is a lot more nicer [and expensive], and the quality of the pictures..oh how my heart swoons! if you're reading this, babies i love you and thanks for taking pictures of me :] and that's all! i shall update you gals on my snowboard pictures and my recent japanese mag haul since i went to lil tokyo for lunch friday afternoon :]

urban decay ammo look

i really should be doing homework but i'm just not in homework mode. ughhh...so i took pictures of my face today since I was already late for class puahah :p I just ended up ditching that one and went to the other two. I feel like such a slacker but I am seriously getting burned out from school. I keep slacking more and more and I shouldn't! Especially if I'm paying for it omgosh! Anyways, I did a look with my Urban Decay Ammo palette which I adore. I really want the Deluxe shadow box...but I'm trying to save my money for my doggie and a snowboard for this season :[ UGHHH :[

I really can't get the right lighting anywhere...and flash makes it look worse I think...OH WELL! So what if I have a big white spot on my cheek from the sun :p

p.s. i got my cherryculture package in the mail today yay! I only got five nyx round lippes and lip pencils [never really tried them and want to give them a go...plus they were BOGO free. even mommy got five lippies!] I can't wait to try them!

here's a close up of my eye. i used:
-palladio herbal mineraleyes in gold rush
- NYC in smokey topaz
- jane eyezing in millionaire
- mac fluidline to line top and waterline

just a bunch of fun random colors :] here's a full shot of my face.

i just used my maybelline power minerals foundation and blush :] and some sheer burt's bees chapstick. i'll take some more detailed pictures next time for the next FOTD. this makeup blog thing is so exciting! i hope whoever is reading this keeps on reading!
